Round Limestone Fountain with a Trefoil Lion Head Bowl

A wide circular basin with a flat coping and a fluted skirt, carrying a raised bowl cut in a trefoil plan and carved around its underside with lion masks and scrolling foliage. The fluted column and heavy drum base beneath it are strong enough to hold the composition without any fuss. Warm biscuit stone with grey weathering across the coping.
