Limestone Fountain Bowl Carved with Acanthus and a Pinecone Finial
This is carving for its own sake. The bowl is cut in bold gadroons beneath a rim banded with overlapping leaves, a pinecone finial rises from the centre, and the turned stem below gathers into a full collar of acanthus above a plain cylindrical plinth. Ivory limestone with warm ochre bleeding through the deeper cuts, standing in its own curved basin. Ancient Surfaces reclaimed and conserved this antique limestone fountain for garden rooms, cloisters and pool courtyards that want a single sculptural centre.
