Tall Limestone Fountain with a Lion Head Bowl and Obelisk Finial

Height is the argument here. A tapering obelisk shaft crowned with a carved tulip finial rises from a polygonal bowl set with lion mask spouts on every face, and the whole composition stands in a wide circular basin with a rolled coping over a coved skirt. Cut in a pale ivory limestone and left almost unweathered, it reads as clean and architectural rather than rustic.
